Delete your account

Delete from inside the app (recommended)
Open BuckForge, go to Profile → Account → Delete account, and confirm. Your account is then scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days later. You can sign in any time during those 30 days and tap Cancel deletion to undo the request — after that the data is unrecoverable.
You can also tap Profile → Account → Export my data first to receive a JSON copy of your data by email before deleting.
Don’t have access to the app?
If you can’t reach the app — for instance you uninstalled it, or you can’t sign in — email us instead and we’ll process the deletion manually within 30 days:
- Email sebastianhjort.developer@gmail.com from the address tied to your BuckForge account — this is how we verify the request is yours.
- Use the subject line:
Delete my BuckForge account - (Optional) Mention if you also want a JSON export of your data before we delete it — we’ll send it as an attachment.
What gets deleted
When the deletion is processed we permanently delete:
- Your account record (email, hashed password, profile fields).
- All authentication tokens (refresh tokens) tied to your account.
- All training plans, weeks, sessions, sections, and blocks you created.
- All goals and benchmarks you logged.
- All workouts you shared via BuckForge sharing.
Database backups may retain copies of deleted records for up to 90 days before being cycled out, after which they are unrecoverable.
What is not deleted
- Local data on your device — uninstall the app or clear its data through your phone’s settings to remove it.
- Email correspondence between you and us (kept only as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted on a rolling basis).
Response time
In-app deletions take effect immediately (the account is locked into the 30-day grace period and purged automatically afterwards). For email requests we aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and complete deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when your account has been deleted.
