Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 July 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the BuckForge mobile app and related services (together, “BuckForge” or the “Service”). BuckForge is operated by Sebastian Hjort, a sole developer based in Sweden (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use BuckForge.

1. Not medical advice — train at your own risk

BuckForge is a fitness and training tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional advice. Training plans, prescribed loads and percentages, recovery scores, and any other guidance the app produces are for general informational purposes only. They are generated from the information you provide and from general training principles — they are not personalised medical, health, or coaching advice.

Exercise carries inherent risks, including serious injury. Before starting or changing any training programme you should consult a qualified physician or healthcare professional, especially if you have any medical condition, injury, or concern. You are solely responsible for exercising safely, using appropriate technique and equipment, scaling loads to your own ability, and stopping if you feel unwell. You use BuckForge at your own risk.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use BuckForge. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. By using BuckForge you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in breach of these Terms.

4. Licence to use the Service

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use BuckForge for your own, non-commercial training. You agree not to copy, resell, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, and not to interfere with its operation or security.

5. Your content and community conduct

BuckForge lets you create content (such as plans, sessions, notes, and challenge submissions) and share some of it with friends inside the app. You keep ownership of the content you create. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service — for example, showing a session you share to the friend you shared it with, or listing a challenge submission on a leaderboard.

You are responsible for the content you post and share, and you agree not to use BuckForge to:

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users on BuckForge. Content or conduct of the kind listed above is prohibited, and accounts that engage in it will be removed.

Reporting and blocking. Every place where another user’s content appears in the app, you can:

How we act on reports. Reports and blocks are sent to us for review. We act on reports of objectionable content or abusive behaviour within 24 hours by removing the offending content and ejecting the user who provided it. We also filter content such as display names and shared titles for objectionable language. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at any time to enforce these rules.

6. Private coaching plans

BuckForge supports private plans: a coach builds a training plan, and athletes join it by invitation only, using a link or QR code the coach sends them. A private plan is never listed publicly and cannot be found by browsing or searching.

What joining a plan means. When you accept an invitation, you are shown exactly what the coach will be able to see and do, and you have to confirm it. In summary, while you are on the plan the coach can:

The coach cannot see your email address, your training outside that plan, your diary entries, your other plans, or anything belonging to another coach’s plan. Unless the plan explicitly says otherwise when you join, other athletes on the plan cannot see your results.

Your work stays yours. If a coach edits a session you have already logged, your logged version is kept and their new version appears alongside it — we do not overwrite results you have recorded. If you leave the plan, or the coach removes you, the plan is archived on your device and everything you logged remains yours and stays in your history. After that point the coach keeps aggregate totals from the period you were on the plan, but can no longer open your individual sessions.

You can leave at any time, from the plan’s menu in the app. A coach can also remove you from a plan at any time.

Coach-authored content is user content. Session text, coaching notes, attached video links, and comments written by a coach are that coach’s content, not ours. They are covered by section 5: we filter them for objectionable language before they reach you, you can report any of them from the app, and we act on reports on the timeline set out above. Video links a coach attaches point to third-party sites and are covered by section 7.

Coaching is not supervision. A coach on BuckForge is another user, not our employee or agent, and we do not review, endorse, or supervise the programmes they write. Section 1 applies in full to any plan a coach writes for you: you train at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to scale or skip anything that is unsafe for you.

If you are a coach. You may only use an athlete’s data to coach that athlete on that plan. You must not disclose it to anyone else, use it for any other purpose, or retain copies outside the Service. Misuse of athlete data is a breach of these Terms and we may remove your coaching access.

7. Third-party integrations

BuckForge can connect to third-party services you already use — for example a gym or coaching provider (such as Wondr, Fitr, SugarWOD, or TrueCoach) to import your workouts, or an external AI assistant that you copy a generated prompt into. These services are operated by others and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their content, and your use of them is at your own risk.

8. Intellectual property

BuckForge, including its software, design, text, and the movement library, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the licence to use the Service granted above, these Terms do not transfer any rights in BuckForge to you.

9. Availability and changes to the Service

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. BuckForge is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, except those that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) BuckForge, or for any injury or health consequence connected with training you undertake using the Service (see section 1). Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

11. Termination

You can stop using BuckForge at any time and delete your account from Profile → Account → Delete account in the app, or as described on our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as sections 1, 7, and 9) will continue to apply.

12. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence. If you are a consumer in Sweden and we cannot resolve a dispute directly, you may refer it to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), arn.se.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use BuckForge after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
